Product SKU: TSS-DL3-B-v3.1
Motion tracking, data logging, wireless streaming, and power. One device, no infrastructure
The Yost Labs 3-Space™ Data Logger Link combines a miniature, high-precision AHRS/IMU with onboard micro-SD storage, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, and a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery in a single end-use-ready unit. No external logger, no tethered power, no cables at all if your application doesn’t want them. Attach it and start capturing.
GPS-denied pedestrian tracking, standard
Every Data Logger ships with our EEPTS pedestrian tracking engine built in. Developed through defense-funded R&D, EEPTS delivers positional tracking where GPS can’t reach: indoors, underground, and in dense urban environments, with floor-level altitude changes tracked via the onboard barometer. Our proprietary capability comes standard here.
Precision engineered for real-world conditions
A full 10 degrees of freedom: triaxial gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer data are fused through Yost Labs’ quaternion-based orientation filtering, while an onboard barometer adds altitude and vertical motion sensing. A dynamic sensor confidence algorithm maintains accuracy across changing operating conditions, and gradient descent calibration with high update rates compensates for sensor error. Orientation is returned in absolute terms or relative to any reference orientation you designate.
Wireless where it matters
BLE streams sensor data to your host without a cable in the way, ideal for wearable applications, on-body motion analysis, and any deployment where a tether is impractical. Log to the onboard micro-SD, stream over BLE, or do both.
Plug in and go
Connected to a USB 2.0 host, the Data Logger Link enumerates as both a virtual COM port and a USB mass-storage device simultaneously. The COM port provides real-time sensor data, configuration, and diagnostics. The mass-storage device gives you direct access to captured data and logging options, no special software required.
Output in your application’s language
Raw sensor data, normalized data, or filtered absolute and relative orientation in quaternion, Euler angles (pitch/roll/yaw), rotation matrix, axis angle, and two-vector formats.
