The Yost Labs 3-Space™ sensor product line is a family of miniature, high-precision, high-reliability, Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS) / Inertial Measurement Units (IMU). Each Yost Labs 3-Space™ sensor uses triaxial gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer sensors in conjunction with advanced processing and on-board quaternion-based filtering algorithms to determine orientation relative to an absolute reference in real-time.

  • Fast sensor update and filter rate allow use in real-time applications, including stabilization, virtual reality, real-time immersive simulation, and robotics
  • Advanced integrated filtering allows sensor to automatically reduce the effects of sensor noise and sensor error
  • Higher filter update rates compared to v2 sensors – Up to 2000Hz with both the Extended Kalman Filter and the QGRAD3™
  • Highly customizable orientation sensing with options such as oversampling and orientation error correction
  • Robust open protocol allows commands to be sent in human readable form (ASCII mode), or more quickly in machine readable form (binary mode)
  • Orientation output format available in absolute or relative terms in multiple formats

3-Space™ sensors with QGRAD3™ fusion firmware output fully fused orientations at up to 2000Hz, providing the necessary low latency responsiveness needed for applications such as:

  • HMD tracking
  • Drone stabilization
  • Biomechanics analysis
  • Real-time robotic control
